What makes wood processing so special is that it generates zero waste. Even the by-products generated from sawing during timber production are precious natural resources that can be used in a variety of ways.
Bark is ideal as biomass for heating systems (like the ones we use), for horticulture, etc.
Wood chips are an important resource for the wood processing industry, etc.
Sawdust is a raw material used to produce pellets, bio-based insulation, bedding material for livestock farming, etc.
We use a significant proportion of our sawmill by-products for our own needs, particularly as biomass for energy generation. This enables us to supply our four drying chambers as well as our production and administration buildings.
This proven practice not only reduces waste but also contributes to enhancing the energy efficiency of our operations, reducing the sawmill’s ecological footprint and minimising our dependence on fossil fuels.
